Project 8 - Web
The point of this assignment was to first create a background image that made text easy to read. We started of with a picture of concrete then in photoshop we changed the contrast, and the brightness. Another thing we did was make it seamless by turning it inside out and then using the clone tool to smooth out the lines. After this we put it into the web site. In my web site I used Contrast Alignment Repetition and Proximity(CARP) by making the headings one color, while making the subheadings a different color. I also made each paragraph the same distance apart from each other. That being part of Alignment, Repetition, and Proximity.
In the code we created something called a "wrapper" div. The point of it is to create that box you see on my website to hold all the text/images inside. This creates a neat look, and is a lot of the time easier to read. With the "wrapper" I also made it kind of transparent so that you could see the background behind it to give it a cool look.
In this project I also used css in a way we hadn't yet. This way was to create a new style sheet, put all the css on that sheet, save it as css, then link my home page and my links page to the style sheet so that everything in the style sheet would apply to both pages.
You can also see the image of me. For this image we first took a picture outside in the hall. When I opened the image in photo shop my face and surroundings were kind of dark because of the lighting in the hall. So I brought the brightness up and changed the contrast. Then I cut me out of the background so that when I put it into my website it would just show me and not the hall background. Then after a little more editing I got the image you can see on my website.
