Creative Spheres
Colorful Sphere tutorial- Illustrator
These two tutorials were very different. The very first thing that I did was made a new folder in my server folder. I then opened a new document in Illustrator. there were a few bumps while doing the tutorial. After a little messing around I finally figured it out and moved on. The tutorial doesn't say that you need to put your name in front, but I thought it would look cool so I added it anyway.
The photoshop tutorial took a lot less time than the Illustrator one. This one as a lot less detail than the other one.
I learned a few different things in the illustrator tutorial. One thing is how to create a circle with an edge. I also learned how to create a shine on top of the sphere. In Photoshop I learned how to make a good shadow as well as how to make a reflection on the ball itself.
Illustrator and Photoshop are different in many ways. One way is that you can create a circle in illustrator by using the shape tool, then can go back and keep changing. With Photoshop it is a little harder to do that. In the end I really enjoyed the Illustrator tutorial more because I am more familiar with Illustrator. However I do need to practice more on Photoshop so that I can get just as familiar with it as I am with Illustrator.
