Extractions and Shadows
In the tutorial Realistic Shadows I learned how to take an object from an image than add a shadow to it while also getting rid of pixel fringe. To extract you can use the quick select tool or the lasso tool. My favorite way is the quick select tool. Then for the shadow I just copied the object than use the transform tool ( command - T ) to make it smushed so it would create the shadow shape. Than I used the gradient tool to go from black to transperant. Then I also used the feathering tool to fade it out. Then I used the puppet tool to get the shadow to match up with the feet so that it looked correct. This tutorial was not very hard and showed me things that I can use in the future.
