Google Fonts

Google fonts are a great resource when you want to use fonts that you don't already have downloaded. The great thing about google fonts is that most browsers and computers are compatible with them. However the downside is that there are some that are not. However it is really great when you site needs a different font then what is normally used.

How to use google fonts:

Search

Go to Google Fonts.com to look at the different fonts are available.

Choose

Once you see a font that you might like click on the button that has an arrow pointing right inside a square (left). Then you will see a screen that shows (below)  you all the different weights and styles that the font you choose is offered in. It will also tell you how long it will take the page to load that font. This can help with your decision because some fonts don't have all the different styles and weights that you might want.

Integrating into your site

Scroll down the page a little and you will see the code that you need in order to put the font into your site. Copy the code for your font and paste it into the top of your css page. (below)

Then go back to the page you were just on and copy the name of the font and it's font-family and paste it into your css of where you want the font to be.

Save all your code and go check out your new font. Here is my final version
